BIOGRAPHY OF DIRECTOR AND SCRIPTWRITER

Berfi Dicle ÖĞÜT, was born in İzmir. After leaving her education at the Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Engineering, she went to France where she took cinema and language lessons, at Atelliers Francais, Paris. When she came back to Turkey, she studied dramaturgy and theater at the Akademi İstanbul. In 1997 till 2003 she worked as an assistant of director in Plato Film. In 2004 she wrote her first novel “Bir Acayip Öfke,”(A Strange Fury), published by Phoenix Press in 2008. She shot her short film “ Bir Anlık Bakış” 11 minutes (Momantary Glance) in 2005. In 2008, she wrote and shot T.V. film “Nisan Balığı” (April Fish) for Türkmax,- Digitürk. After that she focus on Documentary films and she worked on subject of Lausanne Treatment and Turkish and Greek cultural heritages in Thessaloniki and İzmir, in 2012 she realized Turkish and Greek co-production documentary film, “Kayıp Toprakların Torunları” (Grandchildren of the Lost Lands), 71 minutes. After that she worked on enrollment of girl students in East of Turkey and she realized documentary film “Karda Açan Menekşeler,” 2015 (Violets blooming in the Snow) for awareness to intention of girls whom stay out of education in East of Turkey.

She fluently speak English and French.
